Zero-defect policy - MAHLE quality standards

„There is always room for improvement!" - this was the principle coined by company founder Ernst Mahle. And 90 years later, quality still plays a prominent role for MAHLE. Our quality assurance processes pursue ambitious goals. One of them is to minimize the defect potential in all divisions of the Group. This "zero-defect policy" can only be implemented if all processes and locations are integrated in quality assurance. The minimization of defects consequently begins with the development phase. Seamless monitoring of all development steps and consistent controlling ensure high transparency. Strict quality standards are also applied at our production sites and the supplier locations. For example, all MAHLE locations are certified according to international quality standards of the automotive industry, such as ISO TS 16949.
